Home Education

Home education is defined by Florida Statute as “sequentially progressive instruction of a student directed by his or her parent in order to satisfy the attendance requirements of SS. 1002.41, 1003. 01 (4), and 1003.21 (1).”

To establish a home education program, you must notify the Superintendent of Schools in writing of your intent to initiate a home education program.  For your convenience, click here for a form that you may use in order to notify the Superintendent of your intent to establish a home education program.  To close your home education program, you must submit a Letter of Termination.  Click here for a form that you may use in order to notify the district of your intent to terminate your home education program.
