Superintendent Bryan Blavatt formed the School Improvement Committee (SIC) in December 2010. The School Improvement Committee’s primary objective is focusing on improving student achievement while consolidating oversight of all accountability systems under one team consisting of representatives from all District divisions and departments. In addition to providing primary oversight of the District’s Race to the Top initiatives, the School Improvement Committee is working to streamline strategic planning, district and school improvement planning, Differentiated Accountability, Florida Continuous Improvement Model, Problem Solving/Response to Intervention, and SACS-CASI accreditation standards, processes and procedures under a single system of accountability: School Improvement.
