The Hernando County School Board consists of five members. Each of these members are required to reside within the district from which he or she is elected.  The Board  elects its chairperson and vice chairperson annually. The current chairperson is Mr. Foreman and the vice chairperson is Mr. Guadagnino.

All school board meetings, workshops, public hearings and special meetings are televised by HITV and aired on Bright House Networks Channel 614. They are replayed Wednesdays at 12 noon and 6:00 pm and then again Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am and 6 pm. Check the HITV website’s broadcast schedule for more details.
