The school district regularly uses non-instructional substitutes in a variety of positions including custodial, clinic, clerical, bus operators and bus attendants. Please follow the steps below to complete the application process:
- Complete a Non-instructional Application.
- Contact the Human Resources Department to request a Sub Information Packet. Sub Information Packets are provided through email only.
Human Resources Employment Specialists:
*At this time you may also drop off any official, sealed transcripts you may have along with your high school diploma, social security card and driver's license. Copies of these will be put in your file along with any other information that you submit.
- Complete Drug Testing ($43.00).
*Do not go for a drug test until advised by the Human Resources Department*
- Complete fingerprinting ($57.30)
*Do not go for fingerprinting until advised by the Human Resources Department*
Employees are required to be fingerprinted, and the employee is responsible for the cost of fingerprint processing. The criminal history background report results must be received before an employee can report to work. If an employee fails to disclose all arrests or has arrests that are prohibited in the Hiring Guidelines, it will result in a Not-Eligible to Work status or termination.
Non-instructional Substitute applicants must complete Online New Employee Orientation prior to being listed on the substitute call list.
All *Substitute Bus Operators and Substitute Bus Attendants have additional requirements. Please contact the Transportation Department at (352) 797-7003 for further information, as well as you may pick up your transportation packet at Transportation.
Renewing Substitutes (current clerical, custodian, food services and clinic substitutes only)
Please complete the Substitute Review and the Substitute Profile Sheet below. You will need to bring the completion form to the Human Resources Department when you renew your ID Badge.
June 1, 2018 through June 25, 2018 you can renew your ID Badge. If your ID Badge is not renewed by June 25, 2018 you will have to complete the entire new hire process again.
An applicant who has met all substitute requirements and who has been issued a substitute card must work at least 95 hours per school year to remain on the active substitute list. If a substitute does not meet this minimum requirement, he/she will be terminated and must begin the process again to be reinstated as a substitute the following year.
