Community - Business & Education Partnerships

  • When Schools and the Community Unite, Great Things Can Happen
Partnerships with Hernando County Career and Technical Education Programs are important links between student learning and the employment needs of our community. Schools strive to make education relevant to students by connecting the skills they learn with application to the workplace. Businesses are in need of skilled, qualified workers. When Business Partners and Career and Technical Education Programs collaborate student achievement improves and the availability of qualified workers increases.

There are a wide variety of opportunities for our business community to become involved in improving the quality of experience students have while still in school.
Some specific Business/Education Partnership opportunities include the following:

       Advisory Boards
       Career Days
       Guest Speakers
       Internships
       Apprenticeships
       Competitions
       Sharing Expertise
