• What is School-Home Compact?

    A School-Home Compact is an agreement that families, students and teachers review together.  It explains how families and teachers will work together to make sure students reach high standards.

    • Maintain a safe classroom environment that promotes learning
    • Communicate with parents regularly through the agenda, phone calls, Take Home Folders, Email, Class Dojo, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
    • Teach higher order thinking skills and reading strategies
    • Use a variety of learning activities to meet the needs of all learners
    • Regularly update Edline (grades 1-5 only)
    • Share teaching strategies with families. Send home ideas and activities to support student learning

    AT HOME, AS A FAMILY, WE WILL:

    • Check and sign agenda daily, check and sign homework as requested and check EDLINE
    • Check Class Dojo and Facebook online for teacher and school information
    • Monitor my child’s attendance, homework, schoolwork and behavior and seek help if needed to ensure progress
    • Read with my child every night
    • Attend school events/activities to support my child’s learning
    • Practice Super Reader words (Kindergarten and 1st grade) and/or weekly word lists
    • Be aware that infraction reports, disciplines and bus referrals may result in loss of privileges
