Nature Coast Technical High School
Campus Information
2020 – 2021

Welcome back to school for the 2020-2021 year.  We have been, and are still, experiencing an unusual and difficult time.  It is our hope that everyone is excited to be back on campus and that we can resume some sort of normalcy.

Due to the Covid19 situation and the need for social distancing to protect and keep everyone safe, we have made some adjustments to campus movement patterns, and breakfast and lunch procedures.

We have established a one-way walking plan for anytime students and staff are moving about campus.  All first floor hall traffic will move in a clock-wise direction, and all second floor hall traffic will move in a counter-clock-wise direction.  Directional arrows will be displayed on the walls as a reminder.  For dead-end halls, such as the first floor in building 1 and the Physical Education hall, there will be a center dividing line on the floor and everyone is expected to always stay to the right when moving through these halls.

Also, when using the four exterior courtyard stairways, it is expected that everyone exercise social distancing and stay to the right side of the stairs whether moving up or down.

There is no established pattern for movement in the courtyard during passing time.  Students may walk in any direction that is the quickest way to their next class or the cafeteria.  Students are not to stop and congregate in groups while in the courtyard

During breakfast and all lunches, everyone is expected to practice social distancing as much as possible.  Hand sanitizing stations will be available in the cafeteria.  Everyone may enter and exit any of the 5 sets of doors that access the cafeteria.  The entire cafeteria space will be open for use and tables will be spaced for social distancing.  Students will now have the option of eating food inside the cafeteria or outside in the courtyard.  Some small tables with chairs will be under the courtyard overhang for those who choose to eat outside.  As always, everyone is expected to keep all areas clean and to properly dispose of trash in the containers provided, whether eating inside or outside.

The wearing of facial covering is required for students and staff.

These measures and changes have been established for everyone’s safety and protection.  It is expected that everyone do their part to keep us all safe.  We realize that these new procedures may create some inconvenience, but we ask that everyone have patience and understanding as we attempt to make the best out of this unprecedented situation.

Once again, welcome back, and here’s to a great 2020-2021 school year.  Go Sharks.

Best Regards,
Nature Coast Administration
