NATURE COAST TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL Prom Information

Prom Guidelines

Date: Saturday, March 25, 2023

Time: 7:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Location: Glenn Lakes Clubhouse

 

1. Prom tickets cost $60.00 per person, which includes appetizers and unlimited drinks served from 7:30pm-10:30pm. Tickets will go on sale in person during all lunches on March 9 AND March 25  ONLY. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.nctsharknation.com from March 6 - March 9. Cash or check will be accepted in person, and you must use a credit card to pay online. The ABSOLUTE deadline to purchase a Prom ticket is March 25th, 2023. NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

2. Tickets are non-transferable-you may not trade or sell your ticket. NO REFUNDS FOR TICKETS.
 

3. You may invite (1) one guest only. Guests must be 20 years of age or younger. All guests must have a completed Guest Approval Form. A background check will be completed on any guest that is not a current HCSD student. Photo ID must be presented at Prom to be admitted. NO EXCEPTIONS!
 

4. All guests must abide by all Hernando County School Board policies while attending Prom. This includes NOT smoking, consuming alcoholic beverages, using illegal drugs or any other behavior deemed unacceptable by administration and supervising chaperones.
 

5. You must arrive no later than 8:30 PM. Once inside the event, you will not be permitted to leave the event area. If an emergency arises, you must be escorted by a Deputy, an Administrator, or chaperone. If you choose to leave from inside the event, there is no reentry. NO EXCEPTIONS!
 

6. You and your guest must conduct yourselves in an appropriate manner and abide by all Hernando County Student Code of Conduct rules. Suggestive dancing, public displays of affection, horseplay and profanity are not acceptable behaviors and are subject to disciplinary action. Failure to behave appropriately may result in you being asked to leave the premises and your parents/guardians will be immediately notified.
 

 

7. Guests from other Hernando County schools must meet the same disciplinary and attendance criteria as NCT students.

8. If you or your guest (from another Hernando County school) serves ISS or OSS on the day of the event he/she shall not be allowed to attend the event. If the event takes place on a day when school is not in session (ex. weekend, holiday) and the student serves ISS or OSS on the last day of school before the event, the student will not be allowed to attend the event. Refer to School Board policy. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. No exceptions!

 

9. Please make sure that you have arranged for transportation. Prom is scheduled from 7:30 PM-11:00 PM. Administration will close down the DJ and dancing area at 11:00 PM. You and your guest must be off the premises by 11:15 PM.
 

10. The Dress Code for Prom is formal. You are expected to adhere to the following dress code as outlined below. Students/Guests will be turned away without refund if not properly attired and clothing is determined to be inappropriate and/or disruptive.

-          Gentlemen: Acceptable dress includes: Collared shirt or Mandarin-style semi-formal collar, dress slacks, dress shoes, or dress boots. Tee shirts, jeans, costumes or other non-formal attire are not permitted. Shirts must be worn at all times. Pants must be worn at the waist and no underclothing or bare chests are to be displayed.

-          Ladies: Dresses/gowns may be strapless and may feature spaghetti straps with respectable cleavage. Open backs are acceptable as long as they do not exceed the waistline. Two-piece dresses are acceptable, however, bare midriff may not exceed (3) three inches. Under garments should not be visible. See through apparel and slits that exceed the mid-thigh area are not permitted. Garments that are extremely tight or extremely low-cut are not permitted.


 

COVID 19 Protocol and Safeguards

Any one SICK will not be allowed to attend.
