Start with Hello Week

Start with Hello Week (September 21-25, 2020)

September 21-25, 2020 is National “Start with Hello” week to promote student connectedness and a positive school environment. Throughout the week, students and staff will participate in fun activities designed to make everyone feel more included, empathetic and compassionate.

9/21:  H -Say Hello in different languages. Staff and students will                       

meet and greet with a Happy Hello. (poster attachment)

9/22:  E -Encourage Everyone! Write an Encouraging post it note to               .             

  your teacher or classmate and post around your room.

9/23:  L -Learn how to help someone feel special. #1-Notice them

               #2-Say Hello  #3-Ask them to share something “Cool”

                about themselves.  (Sharing time in class)

9/24:  L -Life Saver Day! A sweet treat to remind you we are here to

                help each other. (Life Saver candy in teacher mailbox)           

 9/25:  O -We are Overjoyed to meet you! Wear a green shirt and

                 uniform bottoms. We will sign the “Start with Hello” 

                 pledge to be a kind friend. (poster attachment)
