Welcome to Bear Country, where life truly is better! Life is just better here because it feels better. Students don’t just attend. They belong. The wide range of opportunities gives every student a niche they can attach themselves to. The “Family of One” gives every teacher, parent, student and staff a sense of home away from home. While all of our Bears take care of each other, they can also be fierce when they need to be, providing clear and focused direction to top universities, technical colleges, advanced military ranking, or workforce readiness. It’s better in Bear Country because we offer things no one else does, from Cambridge AICE advanced learning to highly specialized programs. Every student finds their way in Bear Country.

As the Principal of Central High School, I cultivate a school culture focused on academic success and college and career readiness for all students.  Prior to becoming a high school Principal, I served as an Assistant Principal for three years at the secondary level.  In addition, I taught high school mathematics for 15 years where I also served as Mathematics Department Chair.  I earned my B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of Tampa and my M.Ed. degree from National Louis University.  I have had the opportunity to use sports as a vehicle to further my education both as a player and as a coach. I am very proud that we are the only high school in Hernando County offering Navy NJROTC, Aerospace through Embry Riddle University, Welding, HVAC, Biotechnology, Cambridge AICE, EKG, and Nursing Assistant. My goal is for all students to have a positive high school experience and to leave Bear Country college and/or career ready. I invite you to look around our website and see yourself in Bear Country!
