Commercial Art Technology (8718000)

Topics in the Commercial Art Technology program include, but are not limited to, basic art skills, lettering skills, preparation of layouts and illustrations, preparation of camera ready paste-up, and development of specialized skills.

Digital Cinema Production (8201000)

Students in Digital Cinema will learn about topics in communication skills, leadership skills, human relations and employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, and preparation to assume responsibility for overall production of digital video activities including: scripts, lighting, camera operation, electronic news gathering, field/studio production, and video editing.

Culinary Arts (8800500)

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Hospitality & Tourism career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higherorder reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Hospitality & Tourism career cluster.

Energy Technician (9700300)

The content includes but is not limited to Energy Technician program which consists of two course offering related to energy and two course offering related to electricity which have been incorporated into one program to present information that will assist Florida in increasing the number and skill level of workers who are available to meet the workforce needs of Florida’s current emerging alternative energy needs.

Solar Energy Technology (8006100)

The purpose of this program is to present information that will assist Florida in increasing the number and skill level of workers who are available to meet the workforce needs of Florida’s current and emerging alternative energy industries.

Aerospace Technologies (8600080)

The purpose of this program is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of Aerospace Technologies, its effect upon our lives, and the choosing of an occupation. The content and activities will also include the study of safety and leadership skills. This program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the technological tools, machines, instruments, materials, processes and systems in business and industry.

Applied Engineering Technology (8401100)

Content for this program includes but is not limited to study in mechanical, electrical, civil, and environmental engineering disciplines.

Allied Health Assisting (8417130)

The content includes but is not limited to performing skills representative of one to three areas of allied health care in the laboratory and clinical settings. Major areas of allied health are defined as physical therapy, emergency, radiation, laboratory and respiratory medicine, and occupational therapy.

Technology Support Services (9001400)

The content includes but is not limited to practical experiences in the implementation, management, and maintenance of advanced technology user environments.

Criminal Justice Operations (8918000)

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Law, Public Safety and Security career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competencybased applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Law, Public Safety and Security career cluster.

Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (9504100)

The content includes but is not limited to broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the Automotive industry; planning, management, finance, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues.

 Through the study and practice of Theatre Arts, students increase their knowledge and awareness of history, literature, language, culture, psychology, business, technology, and more, preparing them for success in college and the professional world regardless of their chosen career path. Study in performing arts will assist students pursuing careers in many areas including marketing, advertising, event planning, law, the clergy, education, politics, broadcasting, and project management in addition to careers directly related to the arts and entertainment industries.
