4th ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL BASH
Hernando School District’s Parent Academy staff announce details for the
4th annual Back to School Bash. This popular, annual summer event was created to
bring health and personal services, and school supplies to families who need
assistance in preparing their children for the start of school.
Over the previous 3 years, the Hernando School District’s Parent Academy staff has
developed a robust network of generous community partners that donated a wide
variety of services from health screenings to haircuts at the event each year. New this
year, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with The Parent Academy
securing a generous array of backpacks and school supplies for families and children.
Because of COVID-19, the Back To Bash needed some creative re-designing to ensure
the event would be safe and helpful for families. This year, the Back To School Bash
will be a drive-thru event where families and children will receive backpacks pre-loaded
with school supplies and information about community resources.
