The Budget and Finance Department is committed to providing responsible financial stewardship through transparency, accountability, and sound fiscal management, ensuring resources are strategically allocated to support student success and the mission of Hernando County Schools.

The Finance Department is responsible for the financial operations of the District including Budgeting (for the General Fund, Capital Project Funds, and Debt Service Funds), Accounts Payable, Internal Accounts support, Grants Accounting, Financial Reporting, Payroll, General Accounting, Investments and Debt Management.
