Brooksville, Fla. - The Hernando School District has selected Brad Merschbach to lead Nature Coast Technical High School. Merschbach is scheduled to start July 1st.

Merschbach is currently serving as an assistant principal at Powel Middle School and has been a part of the HCSD family since 2006 when he started teaching social sciences at F.W. Springstead High School. He has since taught and held leadership roles at several schools throughout the district.

“I am incredibly excited for this opportunity and am looking forward to connecting with the students, staff, and families who make NCTHS such an amazing school. I am honored to be able to bring my passion for education to NCTHS and make it my home.”

“We are excited to welcome Mr. Brad Merschbach as the new principal of NCTHS. His proven dedication to student success, commitment to educational excellence, and strong leadership will be a tremendous asset to the NCTHS family. I am confident that under his leadership, NCTHS will continue to grow and thrive,” said Ray Pinder, Hernando County School District Superintendent.

Merschbach is succeeding Toni Ann Noyes who announced her retirement earlier this year. Noyes has been working in the Hernando County School District for more than 30 years and has been at the helm of NCTHS since 2009. Throughout her career she has led by example embracing the core values and principles that promote student success.

Noyes shared that her favorite moments in her career are watching the students walk across the stage at graduation. Her plans for retirement are to spend time with her husband and be an active and involved grandmother.

“I will miss you NCTHS family,” said Noyes.
