Linda K. Prescott, Board Chair

Ms. Linda Prescott was elected to the Hernando County School Board in November 2016 and has earned certification as a Certified School Board Member. She brings with her an extensive career in academia having taught in middle and high school, community college and at the university level for over 40 years. In addition to serving on Business Advisory Committees as Program Manager, Cluster Chair, and Faculty Liaison to College Foundation Board, Ms. Prescott has also developed and taught hybrid and online courses. She was honored in 2020 at Hillsborough Community College as a Professor Emeritus.

With a strong commitment to community service and environmental organizations, Ms. Prescott remains an honorary member of the Spring Hill Rotary Club and has served on the Hernando County Environmentally Sensitive Lands Committee, Comprehensive Plan Review Committee, and Capital Outlay Committee. She is also Board Member of the Gulf Coast Conservancy and the Hernando County Education Foundation, a Committee Member of the Education Committee for the Tampa Bay History Center and is a member of the Sierra Club.
